For years, music documentaries have given fans an inside look at some of their favorite bands. In recent years, it seems more and more bands are getting the documentary treatment, as musicians hope for a resurgence thanks to the never before heard stories of how they got to that level in the first place. Now, one of the most highly anticipated music documentaries has been completed, as director Bernard MacMahon revealed his upcoming film 'Becoming Led Zeppelin' is ready for the world to see.
The Led Zeppelin documentary was first announced back in 2019, promising unprecedented access to the band. The film will mark the first time the band has participated in a documentary in 50 years. "'Becoming Led Zeppelin' is a film that no one thought could be made. The band's meteoric rise to stardom was swift and virtually undocumented. Through an intense search across the globe and years of restoration of the visual and audio archive found, this story is finally able to be told," said MacMahon.
According to Variety, no release date has been announced at this time. Still, many fans were excited to hear the long awaited film is finally on the way. Maybe this will be the thing that finally gets Robert Plant back on stage with Jimmy Page.
