Over the past few months, there have been a number of chances for people across America to become instant millionaires, with some of the largest lottery prizes in history. Sadly, none of those wins came in Texas, but luckily for those in the Lone Star state, the local lottery prize is now at its highest mark in years. The current Lotto Texas jackpot is at $48 million ahead of Monday’s drawing.

On Saturday, the Lotto Texas drawing went without a winner once again, bringing the jackpot prize to its highest amount in more than 12 years. According to NBC DFW, the current jackpot has an estimated cash value of $28.27 million.

Monday’s drawing will be the 70th in the current Lotto Texas jackpot run that began in September. The last time the prize reached higher than $48 million was back in 2010 when the prize went to an estimated $97 million. Maybe this prize will grow passed that before it’s all said and done.
