The holiday season is meant to bring yuletide to all, but it also means the beginning of porch pirate season.

Thousands of packages get delivered every day, and nefarious figures are always looking around the corners to snag whatever the delivery droier just dropped off.

Over the weekend, an Amazon delivery driver dropped off a package in front of a home in the Northside area of Fort Worth, and it was only seconds later before a porch pirate, wearing a Michael Irvin No. 88 jersey, swooped in and stole it right off the porch.

In fact, security footage from the home shows the driver still walking back to his truck while the man rushed up, grabs the package, and heads back to a waiting SUV to make his getaway.

Homeowner Yesenia Partida told WFAA all the thief managed to get away with was a container of laundry detergent and a coffee filter.

Police say the man’s Cowboys jersey may help people recognize him and encourage those with any information to contact Detective York at (817) 392-4620.
