The weather has been absolutely pristine the last couple of days, so hopefully you were able to take advantage with a nice evening stroll throughout your neighborhood.
That is except for those living in this neighborhood in Cinco Ranch, whose evening was interrupted by an intruder.
A large alligator was spotted roaming the streets over the weekend, the animal even making its way to one resident’s lawn.
Resident David Morton told KHOU, “Living in Southeast Texas, you know you live with animals like that.”
Neighbors believe that the alligator came from a nearby retention pond near Morton’s home, following storms moving through the area on Saturday.
Officials with the Texas Parks and Wildlife said that alligators in Texas are typically inactive during colder months but begin moving more frequently in early March as mating season begins.
