It's always disappointing when a driver pulls up to a fast food restaurant looking for a quick meal, only to find a long line for the drive-thru wrapped around the building. It's even more disappointing when the driver was expecting to get tacos at the drive-thru. That's exactly what happened to plenty of hungry drivers recently as an East Texas taco stand, but instead of being able to blame one of the cars ahead, it was a massive alligator causing the back up.
Jucys Taco in Henderson, Texas had to shut down their drive-thru recently when an eight ft. alligator made its way into the line. "The drive-thru at Jucys Taco in Henderson is temporarily closed, as a customer decided to take a nap in the line. It turns out gators like Jucys Taco, too!" the restaurant wrote in their now viral Facebook post.
The alligator was eventually safely removed and the drive-thru reopened, according to NBC DFW. "Several of us held on to it … from the top … and do all the little tricks you see, we actually used electrical tape to safely tape his mouth shut just like you would see on TV," said Henderson Police Department Support Services Captain Brian Bathke. Hopefully the alligator got some tacos before it was forced to leave.
