Usually televised talent contests are about introducing the world to some new faces. However, this year on 'America's Got Talent' a number of familiar acts have auditioned in hopes of using their known talents to claim the top prize. Recently, another famous name jumped on stage in hopes of joining the competition. 'Police Academy' star, known as the "The Man of 10,000 Sound Effects," Michael Winslow hit the AGT stage and many now consider him one of the show's front runners.

Most fans of 80's pop culture would recognize Michael Winslow, but after years away from the spotlight, the actor is ready to bring his talents back to the screen. "I stopped making movies because I quit the business for my children. I had to raise them, because I became a widower," said Winslow.

According to Yahoo, after creating a number of sound effects using his mouth, some that judge Sofia Vergara called "not human," Winslow received enough votes to get to the next round. While some fans thought it was unfair due to Winslow's previous fame, others were excited to see him back on their screen. Hopefully some new sounds are on the way.
