There are some songs musicians seem to turn to the most when performing a cover and Nirvana’s ‘Smells like Teen Spirit’ is definitely one of those songs. With so many different cover versions of the song online, one musician decided to do something a little different recently in order to get his cover noticed by the internet. The artist took every single idea he had and mashed it into one song, creating a cover of ‘Smells like Teen Spirit’ done in 12 different musical styles.

Seth Everman has built a small following online thanks to his odd approach to cover songs; performing the songs in different styles on a keyboard. However, his latest video has taken his fan base to a new level. His cover of ‘Smells like Teen Spirit’ has been viewed over 800,000 times.

Some of the styles Everman performs the song in include; “video game water level,” “Bulgarian nightclub,” “minimalist jazz,” “Polish mazurka” and “tropical island,” according to AV Club. Everman finishes the video by incorporating a recorder and smashing his instruments. For anyone thinking about sharing their cover of the Nirvana classic, they may want to think again after this one.
