New study names Texas as the third most SINFUL state in the country

The study looked at 47 factors of immorality and illicit behavior

Any time a study is done about the country that ranks Texas near the top, usually it is about business, real estate or food. However a new study recently found something else Texas ranks near the top at. Sadly, this one may not be enticing people to move to the Lone Star state as much as others. The recent study named Texas as the third most sinful state in the country.

Personal finance website, WalletHub, recently conducted a study to find the most sinful state in the country. According to Dallas Observer, the study looked at 47 factors of immorality and illicit behavior. Some of the factors included; theft, excessive drinking and per-capita firearms death, with each state being ranked by anger and hatred, jealousy, excesses and vices, greed, lust, vanity and laziness.

Based on the results, Texas was named the third most sinful state, behind California and Nevada. It is the second year in a row Texas was ranked third. Just behind Texas were Florida and Louisiana. While not everyone was thrilled with Texas' position, at least the Lone Star state did better than California.
