It’s hard to find people with as much state pride as the average Texan. Whether they were born in Texas, or came here later in life, those in the Lone Star state are always the first to say there is no better place to live. Luckily, a new survey backs that up, as multiple Texas cities were recently listed in the top 50 places to live in the United States, with DFW claiming three of the spots.
Website Niche.com recently set out to find the best places to live in the United States. The survey looked at a number of factors such as public school systems, costs of living, crime rates and the overall resident satisfaction.
Using data from the U.S. Department of Education, the Census Bureau, the FBI and public-sentiment polling, the survey ranked Plano as the 9th best place to live, Richardson at number 12 and Irving at number 40.
All of Texas was well represented on the list, as the number one spot went to The Woodlands, outside of Houston, according to KSAT. Other Texas cities making the list were Austin at 25, College Station at 27 and Round Rock at 29. Maybe one day the entire top 50 will be comprised of nothing but Texas cities.
