A North Texas couple has been arrested after they were caught stealing multiple pairs of cowboy boots from a Boot Barn in White Settlement.

This wasn't an isolated incident for 57-year-old Valentine Cardenas and his wife 47-year-old Melissa Marez, either.

The couple stole from multiple Boot Bars and Cavender's across North Texas.  Marez would point out which boots to steal, to which Cardenas would stuff them (most often four pairs at a time) down his pants, walk to the couple's car, unload the boots, and repeat the process.

According to WFAA, the couple would then enlist other family members to sell the boots on Facebook Marketplace.

The couple was apprehended trying to steal boots from the Boot Barn located in the 7600 block of I-30 in White Settlement.

Cardenas is being charged with four counts of theft of property with two or more previous convictions, and Marez is facing one count of theft of property.
