High School football players across the state of Texas are wrapping up the preseason in preparation for the upcoming season.
For many Senior football players, they know it will be the last time they ever put on a uniform, so why not have some fun and enjoy it?
A budding tradition we've seen across the country is moms getting the chance to put on some shoulder pads and put a little hurtin' on their boys by tackling them on the last practice of the preseason.
Several moms at Benbrook Middle High School got that chance, in the school's inaugural "Senior Mom Tackle."
Holly Ary, whose son Matthew is a senior at Benbrook Middle High, told NBC DFW, "I'm taking him down today.
"I've been begging his coaches since sophomore year, can we please do the senior mom tackle and here we are, so this is a three-year excitement build coming today."
Some of the participants in Senior Mom Tackle included a mom of twins, a grandma, and a mom and coach's wife.
Mom Becky Altmiller said, "I think some of us probably have some pent-up anger against our sweet little baby, baby men, and we want to take 'em down."
