North Texas police use drones to lead them to man accused of driving a stolen vehicle

It's getting increasingly harder for criminals in North Texas to escape the clutches of the police.

A team of K-9 officers and multiple DFW-area police departments worked together to apprehend a man of leading Trophy Club police on a chase in a stolen vehicle.


Randy Veloz's downfall came thanks to the implementation of flock cameras, which specialize in license plate recognition, and drones for the Northlake PD which were able to ascertain his position leading to his arrest.

According to FOX 4 News, inside the vehicle Veloz was accused of stealing, police found  suspected narcotics, stolen property, multiple forms of identification, and financial instruments.

Veloz is currently facing charges of evading arrest and the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.  Additional charges related to the recovered items are pending.
