In recent years, Fort Worth’s Panther Island has become a go to spot for concerts and music festivals coming to town. However, after a recent music festival got a little too loud, leading to a number of noise complaints, the venue has decided to make some changes to keep neighbors happy. It was recently announced Panther Island Pavilion will change their event hours and will look to add equipment to help limit sound.
Back in April, Ubbi Dubbi festival took over Panther Island Pavilion for a weekend, but as the festival went into the night, pulsing bass sounds traveling as far as Lake Worth led to a number of noise complaints. According to Fort Worth Star Telegram, though the venue didn’t break any rules, the district received about 40 complaints starting at 10 p.m. on Sunday. Now, the venue will make changes to try to limit noise complaints in the future.
Panther Island Pavilion will now hold shows only between 7 a.m and 10 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 7 a.m. to midnight Thursday through Saturday. They will also install more sound deadening equipment and establish a phone line for noise complaints. Hopefully this helps keep neighbors happy, so the shows can continue.
