The search remains active for Rowdy, a pet kangaroo who was last seen hopping down the road near Sealy, TX.
Apparently, Rowdy pushed open a gate of his family's home, hopped over a fence and then took off.
His owner, Marsha Matus, told ABC 13, "I'm very scared for him because I know he's scared. He is our baby. He is not your stereotypical kangaroo. He is our pet."
Rowdy is neutered, not aggressive, but is easily frightened and won't approach a stranger.
Matus hopes Rowdy is home before the family celebrated Christmas. "I just hope he's safe because I know he's scared. I just want him home."
