Getting a new pet is always fun, but picking out their name can be a very difficult task. There are many different directions someone can go; they can pick a standard human name, a cute name or a name related to pop culture. For those needing a little help picking out their next pet’s name, Rover has unveiled their annual list of the most popular dog names for 2021, and it definitely includes some surprises.
Using millions of user-submitted pet names, pet website Rover has compiled a list of the most popular boy and girl dog names. Of course, the top 10 featured plenty of standard pet names, such as; Bella, Daisy, Max and Buddy. However, the 2021 version featured plenty of surprises. Some of the more shocking dog names included; “Britney Spears,” “Elon Musk” and “Grogu.”
According to Mashable, some other pop culture themed names were “doge” and “bitcoin.” Many dog lovers were surprised by some of the submissions, while others were happy to get some original name ideas. Check out the entire list here. Maybe 2022 will be the year Jack takes the top spot.
