While plenty of kids dream of being professional athletes when they are older, most are forced into a non-athletic reality sooner than expected. However, a new professional sports league may be the perfect opportunity for the average Joe to have a second chance at sports glory. The Pillow Fight Championship is holding their first major pay-per-view event this weekend, and many are thinking this may be the sport for them.

Not everyone played sports growing up, but it would be hard to find someone who has never been in a pillow fight. Now, those skills are being turned into a professional sport. On Friday, the Pillow Fight Championship will hold its first pay-per-view event on Fite TV and the “fight card” features competitors with combat sports in their background, including former UFC fighter Marcus Brimage, according to Bro Bible.

The internet recently discovered this new sport, and jokes immediately began to fly. However, PFC CEO Steve Williams wants fans to know this is a serious sport. “It’s hardcore swinging with specialized pillows. The only difference between our fights and MMA fights is that nobody gets hurt,” said Williams. Soon the world will be wondering what professional pillow fighter can take down Jake Paul.
