One wealthy nerd has just made that fantasy a reality.
Carrie Fisher's costume from the 1983 Star Wars film recently sold at an auction held by Dallas-based Heritage Auctions for $175,000!
Joe Maddalena, Heritage's executive vice president, told NBC DFW that the costume sold was one that was screen tested and worn by Fisher on the movie's set but did not make it onto the final version of the film as it was switched out for one that was more comfortable.
