For many, proposing to their significant other comes with a very large amount of pressure. Not only do they want their proposal to be original and special, but there is always the chance the person getting asked says no. One woman has gone viral after sharing video of her proposal, not because it was perfect, but due to her initial reaction to think her boyfriend was joking, and smack him on the head.
Though Gracie O’Neill’s proposal occurred at Disneyland a few years ago, she just recently shared the video on TikTok, and it quickly went viral, being viewed over 5.6 million times. In the video, O’Neill’s boyfriend drops to a knee while the couple is in front of Disney’s castle. However, apparently the boyfriend had a history of fake-proposals, so the woman’s initial reaction was to smack him on the head.
Luckily for the boyfriend, she eventually realized it was real and says yes in the end. “Seriously, the happiest day of my life,” O’Neill said of the viral moment. While it wasn’t the best start to their engagement, things seem to have only gone up from there.
