For years, Six Flags has entertained thrill seekers from all over the world, but recently interest in the park has seemed to dip. In response to low attendance numbers, the amusement park has decided to make some changes and additions to help boost interest. Starting this fall, Six Flags will expand Fright Fest and add Oktoberfest event, among other changes.
On Thursday, Six Flags announced attendance was down 22% in the second quarter of 2022, compared to last year. These numbers prompted the company to make some changes in hopes of bringing guests back to the park. According to Dallas Morning News, Six Flags will expand their Halloween themed Fright Fest to include wearable technology, along with a focus on trick-or-treating.
The park will also add an Oktoberfest event, introduce a new meal pass program, and most importantly reduce cost of trips to the park. These changes will be made at all 27 of the company’s parks. Hopefully these changes are enough to spark interest in Six Flags once again.
