Having Italian food for dinner is never a bad decision and for Texans, more often than not, we’re opting for the lasagna.
Lasagna was just named Texas’ preferred Italian pasta dish, in a new study conducted by Cooking School Italy.
According to CW33, the study analyzed Google search volumes for more than 120 pasta dishes over the past 12 months, ending in July 2025.
In Texas, lasagna led the way with 54,840 average monthly searches, followed by Carbonara with 24,725 searches, and Ziti al Forno coming in at third with 21,740 searches.
Cooking School Italy National Director Andrea Rocchetti stated that “These findings reveal Texas’ evolving relationship with Italian cuisine. It’s interesting to see which dishes Texans are most fond of and lasagna is clearly a standout.”
