When looking for a city in America full of fun, people often point to ones like Las Vegas and New Orleans as the most entertaining cities the country has to offer. However, a new study claims there’s plenty of fun right here in Texas as well. The study ranked the most fun states in America, and Texas landed in the top 10.
Personal finance website WalletHub recently conducted a study to find the most fun states in America. Looking at 26 different metrics, such as access to national parks, performing arts theaters, and movie theaters, the study was able to find the most fun states the country has to offer. According to Dallas Culture Map, Texas ranked 7th on the list thanks to having the most amusement parks per capita, and tied for the most movie theaters.
Taking home the number one spot on the list was California. Following California was Florida, Nevada, New York, Illinois and Colorado. While the Lone Star state wasn’t able to beat out any of those states, at least there are 43 others not up to Texas’ fun standards.
