
Sylvester Stallone has been a part of many iconic movie franchises throughout his career, and now he can add yet another to his resume. Director James Gunn recently revealed the actor has joined the cast of ‘Suicide Squad.’ Gunn made the announcement by sharing a photo of him and Stallone on set over the weekend.
Sylvester Stallone is the latest big name to join the star studded cast of ‘Suicide Squad’ which also includes several actors from the 2016 film. “Always love working with my friend @officialslystallone & our work today on #TheSuicideSquad was no exception. Despite Sly being an iconic movie star, most people still don't have any idea what an amazing actor this guy is,” said Gunn.
It is unknown what role Stallone will play in the film due out in 2021. The actor confirmed he was now a part of the franchise, commenting on Gunn’s Instagram post “James, coming from a tireless and amazing Director, I consider that to be the Paramount of compliments! Keep punching, Sly.” With Stallone on board, fans now have yet another reason to get excited about the film.
