People are addicted to their phones now more than ever.
The average American spends 6 hours and 35 minutes a day scrolling, and we check our devices an average of 58 times a day. But just how far are our thumbs scrolling?
A new study from TollfreeForwarding.com found that on average, Texans scroll 95.77 miles annually on their phones, at an average of about 7 hours and 19 minutes of screentime per day.
Those numbers rank sixth in the nation. The top five include:
1 - Arizona – 8h 50m daily screentime, 115.37 scrolling miles per year
2 – Washington - 8h 17m daily screentime, 108.18 scrolling miles per year
3 – Kentucky - 8h 3m daily screentime, 105.18 scrolling miles per year
4 – Missouri - 7h 49m daily screentime, 102.17 scrolling miles per year
5 – New Mexico - 7h 20m daily screentime, 95.90 scrolling miles per year
The study found that much screentime can reduce productivity by as much as 40%, which is not great news for parents as kids are heading back into school!
We also wonder how much those figures are going to increase when Fantasy Football season begins.
