When people enter the dating scene these days, usually the first place they turn is the internet. With so many dating apps and social media platforms to choose from, it seems going online is the only place to find a date. However, one man in Texas recently decided to try a different tactic to find the woman of his dreams. He bought a billboard, and put his number on it; hoping the love of his life would give him a call.

Jim Bays is a 66-year-old, twice divorced man who recently moved to Texas because he “wanted to come to the freeist place on the Earth.” However, the one thing he’s still missing is a woman by his side, which is why he decided to go the extra mile to find her. He purchased a billboard on Highway 29 just east of Bertram that reads “Wanted, a good woman. 50-55ish. For talks & walks & mutual acts of kindness.”

According to KXAN, the billboard has actually worked, as Bays has gone on a number of dates since it went up. “I’m an older guy now and here I am, I’m busy with my business and I don’t know what kind of page a woman is on when I happen to run into her at the store or LA Fitness,” said Bays. Hopefully the right woman is the next to call.
