There is nothing quite like the experience of going to a major college football game. Between the tradition, the student fan-base, the fights songs and of course, the tailgating, fans tend to leave the stadium with a smile on their face, regardless of it their team won or lost. Now, Texas Tech University has decided to upgrade their game experience even more, announcing a new $200 million addition to their stadium.
By 2024, Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock will look a lot different than it does now. As part of the recently announced project, Texas Tech will add new four-story building in the south end zone that will include locker rooms, offices for coaches and a field-level club area. According to ESPN, a skybridge will connect the stadium to the school's sports performance center.

“It'll be as great of a layout as you will see in college football, with the practice field location, the adjacency of the indoor practice facility and then the connection to the stadium," said Texas Tech athletic director Kirby Hocutt. The project is being funded through private fundraising and annual athletic department revenue streams. Soon Tech fans will have an in-game experience they can truly brag about.
