As we celebrate all things spooky today, HGTV put together a list of the creepiest places in all 50 states.

Unsurprisingly, a lot of old hotels made this list.

Ask anyone around here, they might tell you the Adolphus Hotel is haunted.  A couple of months ago, a viral video came out that claimed a La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham in Downtown Dallas was haunted!

However, those two spots are trumped by what this list considers the most haunted and creepiest place in Texas: the Grand Galvez hotel in Galveston.

The hotel is also known as “Queen of the Gulf,” and its fifth floor is infamously haunted by the "Lovelorn Lady.”

Legend has it that a bride-to-be Audra took her life in room 501 after she heard her betrothed died at sea. Unfortunately, he happened to arrive at the hotel alive and well just days after her death.

Guests of Hotel Galvez have reported experiencing cold breezes, doors slamming and flickering lights.
