Many child actors struggle with matching the success they had as a kid when they reach adult age. While some continue searching for fame, most slowly fade away over time. Tami Stronach, who played the Childlike Empress in ‘The NeverEnding Story’ stepped away from acting after her role in the classic 1984 film, but now the actress has decided to give Hollywood another shot, over 30 years later.
While ‘The NeverEnding Story’ was a cult hit that helped many careers, it also forced Tami Stronach to give up her dream of pursuing a Hollywood career at a young age. “I did not desperately want to be a star. I desperately wanted to act. Those are two different things,” said Stronach. However, now the actress has decided to give it another shot, as she is set to star in ‘Man & Witch’ alongside her husband Greg Steinbruner.
Since her role in ‘The NeverEnding Story,’ Stronach has worked in theater and as a professional dancer, but the actress claims it was a shout out to the movie in ‘Stranger Things’ that made her want to return to the big screen. According to People, the film also stars Christopher Lloyd, Sean Astin and Rhea Perlman. All these years later, Stronach is finally ready for the spotlight.
