The World Cup is heading to North America in 2026, with North Texas expected to serve as a basecamp for the tournament.
Because of this, Toyota Stadium in Frisco, the home of FC Dallas, could be receiving a gigantic makeover.
According to WFAA, a recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation included an estimated $130 million in renovations for the stadium, including the addition of more clubs and suites, as well as new lighting, and more space for broadcasters and media members to work.
The stadium opened in 2005 and currently holds about 20,500 people.
If approved, construction could begin as soon as January.
