Last Thursday morning around 3:45am, the Tyler Police Department received an emergency call from a man who injured himself at a car dealership.

No, the car dealership wasn’t holding some midnight sale or anything.  38-year-old Jeremiah Megallon told emergency officials that he injured himself while attempting to break into it!

Public Information Officer Andy Erbaugh told Fox News Digital, “He said he had broken into the Patterson Dodge dealership in an attempt to steal a car but was unable to get out of the building.

"He had cuts from breaking a window at the dealership and crawling through it.”

A member of the Patterson Dodge staff said the only thing Megallon managed to steal was some candy from the desk of a salesperson.

He was arrested at the scene and taken to the hospital before being transferred to the police station.  Megallon is facing charges of burglary of a building.
