Rain came through the metroplex on Monday, and while that meant most took cover to avoid getting wet, for one rhino at the Fort Worth Zoo it meant party time. Luckily, a group of field trippers fought through the rain to capture video of the rhino playing in the rain. Check out the video below.
A group of students on a field trip recently caught a rhino in a rare playful mood. In the viral video, the Fort Worth Zoo’s rhino, Crockett, can be seen jumping and sliding through the rain and mud. Children can be heard laughing and screaming in the video, clearly entertained by the rhino’s play.

According to NBC DFW, the Fort Worth Zoo is one of five locations in the world to house two of the five rhino species in captivity: black and greater one-horned Asian rhinos. Crockett is a southern black rhinoceros. While most people don’t enjoy the rain, clearly rhinos are big fans.
