While most of DFW waited years to finally get to shop at HEB, those in Waxahachie have known for quite some time why the Texas-based grocery store chain is so beloved. The city already had a grocery only version of the store when it was announced HEB was finally expanding to North Texas. Now, their HEB will be renovated to become an HEB Plus, giving North Texas yet another superstore location.
The HEB in Waxahachie will soon begin renovations to add a 2-lane pharmacy drive-thru, an expanded Curbside area with more dedicated parking, a True Texas BBQ restaurant and more. According to CW33, the expansion will begin in early 2023, and is expected to be completed by 2024. Luckily, the grocery portion of the store will remain open during construction.
The Waxahachie HEB is located at 800 N Hwy 77. Soon, DFW will have another HEB Plus option in the metroplex. With these upgrades, life in Waxahachie will only get easier.
