Will Ferrell is known for many different roles, but arguably his most iconic character came from his SNL days, where he portrayed a musician who only played the cowbell. While the comedian hasn’t busted out the “more cowbell” character much over the years, he decided to bring it back recently to help out his son. During a recent charity event, Magnus Ferrell’s band performed their first live show, and his legendary father decided to join in, once again showing off his cowbell skills.
Magnus Ferrell recently showed his father isn’t the only one with talent in the family, as his band opened for Psychedelic Furs at a Cancer For College charity event. The band played three original songs as well as a cover of Radiohead‘s ‘Creep,’ according to NME. However, the highlight of the night came when the band was joined by Will Ferrell, who played cowbell on one of their songs.

“Damn that was fun,” Magnus captioned a series of photos from the night, including one with his father playing cowbell. Many fans were excited to see Ferrell bring back the character, hoping to see him perform with his son more. Maybe all Magnus Ferrell’s band needs is more cowbell.
