With so many reboots and sequels of classic movies and television shows being made over the last few years, many fans have complained there aren't enough original ideas in Hollywood anymore. Well clearly they have heard the complaints and while they aren't ready to give up on bringing back the classics, it seems a new idea has finally emerged. Winnie The Pooh will be returning the big screen, however the friendly bear that everyone remembers form their childhood is no more, as this version will be a slasher film.
It was recently announced that a new film, ''Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey' recently wrapped up filming, but this version of the classic story will see a demonic version of Pooh and Piglet. According to Variety, A.A. Milne's original 'Winnie the Pooh' stories lapsed into the public domain five months ago, making this dark version of the classic kid's story possible. "Christopher Robin is pulled away from them, and he's not [given] them food, it's made Pooh and Piglet's life quite difficult," said director Rhys Waterfield of the film's plot.
There is currently no release date for the Winnie the Pooh film. Many fans are excited to see the dark turn their childhood favorite takes. Hopefully no parents make a mistake and bring their young ones to see this film by accident.
