Usually when major sporting events come to DFW, they end up at AT&T Stadium. However, it seems one of the metroplex’s newest arenas is starting to attract some attention as well. Already home to the NCAA Basketball tournament and Professional Bull Riders, Dickies Arena recently announced they will soon be home to the Women’s Tennis Association Finals as well.
Some major women’s tennis will be coming to North Texas later this year, as for the first time the WTA Finals will take place at Dickies Arena, after previously being held in China. The event will begin October 31 and run through the first week of November, according to Fort Worth Star Telegram. Tickets are expected to go on sale in the next seven to 14 days.

The arena will be set up with a single tennis court in the center, and practice courts outside around Will Rogers complex. This will be the second major tennis tournament held in DFW this year. It’s only a matter of time before Dickies Arena is seen as a go-to place for major sporting events.
