No matter what part of North Texas you live in one thing we can all agree on is the traffic is horrendous.
It doesn’t matter what day of the week you hit the road, or even what time of day; it’s always rush hour on our highways.
Nearly 40% of all North Texas residents identified the traffic as their largest complaint about where they live in the 2026 William C. Short Quality of Life Survey, including 49.7% of Collin County residents, 46.3% of Denton County residents, 45.1% of Tarrant County residents, and 32.5% of Dallas County residents.
When asked about the “most important issue” facing their community, 12% of all respondents said traffic congestion.
