HARRISBURG (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Three new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus in Pennsylvania brings the commonwealth's total to 10.
Two of the residents are from Montgomery County and the other is from Monroe County.
The latest numbers brings the total number of cases in Montgomery to seven.
While we anticipate that there will be more Pennsylvanians with COVID-19 in the coming days and weeks, it is important for residents to know the commonwealth is prepared and to be prepared themselves," Dr. Rachel Levine, State Health Director said during a news conference Monday. "Right now, you have a higher chance of testing positive for COVID-19 if you have traveled to a country or state with known community outbreaks or have come in contact with someone who has the virus. We are working with the health care community across Pennsylvania to keep them informed, consult on patient testing and ensuring they have the resources they need to care for patients."
COVID-19 can include coughing, fever and shortness of breath.
Symptoms can appear in as little as two days or as long as 14 after exposure.
Those most at risk are the elderly and people with pre-existing conditions.
No vaccine is available at this time.
