PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A woman was injured in Squirrel Hill Monday morning trying to escape an apartment fire.
Crews were called out to the building at Murray Avenue and Flemington Street just before 7 a.m.
Officials say the 29-year-old fell out of a window on the second floor, where the fire was contained
She landed a dump truck below and received some lacerations.
She was transported to the hospital and her injuries are described as minor.
It was the first fire for two firefighters who just graduated on Friday.
An investigation will determine the cause of the fire.
