Idlewild has announced they’ll open for its 144th season on Saturday, May 29 and they’re hiring.
Over 600 seasonal worker positions are available and applications can be found here.
Positions include lifeguards, ride operators, Food and drink workers, game operators, retail, admissions, grounds, maintained and public safety.
Employees get free admission to park as well along with food and discounts for friends and family and scholarship opportunities.
After significantly scaling back hours, days and attractions, the 2021 season will be more of a return to normal for Idlewild.
Story Book Forest and Captain Kidd’s waterplay area will reopen and several other attractions have been renovated including restrooms in Olde Idlewild.
Idlewild’s sister parks Kennywood and Sandcastle are also looking to hire and will also have more expanded season.
Nick Paradise with Kennywood says currently the parks will be able to operate at 75 percent capacity (last year was 50 percent) and that number could rise if conditions continue to improve over the summer.
All three parks will continue to prioritize healthy and safety of guests with enhanced sanitation.
