1Thing: Pittsburgh Earth Day working toward business sustainability with breakfast event

Just one of the many events that Pittsburgh Earth Day had slated for October was the 6th Annual Sustainable Business Breakfast.

The breakfast is an opportunity for Pittsburgh Earth Day to bring in "industry leaders" to talk on B2B and B2C practices and how to optimize them with ecological considerations.

This year was somewhat different with COVID, and the breakfast event was held virtually instead.

Officially, the Sustainable Business Breakfast went live on Thursday, Oct. 22, but it can still be viewed.

Pittsburgh Earth has the event on their YouTube channel.

For a better description of what the breakfast is meant to represent, then go no further than Pittsburgh earth Day themselves: "Partnering with CEOs for Sustainability and The Allegheny Conference, the 6th Annual Sustainable Business Breakfast continues to have sell-out attendance with industry leaders speaking about business-to-business and business-to-consumer green best practices. This year, due to COVID restrictions, the event will be held digitally.

It's easy to say we are going to commit to being a sustainable business, but what does it take to put this commitment into action? This year, Pittsburgh's leaders in corporate and community sustainability will discuss what it takes to implement sustainable practices and how to connect to global sustainability goals. Local business leaders will talk about ways, both large and small, that they are transforming their companies and communities into shining examples of sustainability."
