It’s been 17 years since Jenny Lee Bakery location closed down around the Pittsburgh area, but the iconic brand is only getting stronger.

5 Generation Bakers, based in McKees Rocks, have been selling Jenny Lee Swirl Bread for years, but is now adding new products you can take home and bake yourself.

Jenny Lee Yellow cake, chocolate chip cookies, blueberry muffin and sweet dough (based on the formula used in Jenny Lee Swirl Bread) dry mixes are now available online.

You can buy the products on Jenny Lee’s website or through local business: USA Pan.

Scott Baker, President of parent company 5 Generations Bakers, tells KDKA Radio the mixes are not available in any local stores yet, but they are working on it.

“People’s love for Jenny Lee won’t die,” said Baker.

And there’s even better news for Jenny Lee lovers

A brand-new restaurant concept, “The Jenny Lee breakfast Nook”, is expected to be announced soon.

It will be a breakfast/diner/sandwich shop featuring Jenny Lee breads for sweet and savory treats.

Baker says they’re talking with property owners in Moon Township and the North Side right now and hope to have two or three locations opened by the end of the year, with more in 2026.

“Once we have a little bit of momentum, the idea is that would be the right location to bring back Jenny Lee Brownies or Jenny Lee muffins, cupcakes and things like that,” said Baker.

While it won’t be a full-scale bakery, Baker envisions a place you can get breakfast or lunch and leave with a dozen cookies on your way out.
