An investigation is underway after a body was found in the Monongahela River Thursday.
Pittsburgh Public Safety says Police, Fire and EMS were called to the area near Sandcastle Water Park around 1:30 p.m. for a body found near the shoreline.
No other details are known at this time.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the cause, manner and identity of the female victim.
