The site of a former Shop ‘n Save location in the West End, currently undoing an extensive renovation, could reopen as a Giant Eagle.

A spokesperson for Giant Eagle released the following statement to KDKA Radio:

“At Giant Eagle, we continually look for opportunities to provide our guests with high-quality products, the best service, and strong value through our weekly sales, personalized offers, and myPerks loyalty program. We are in ongoing conversations regarding the acquisition of the existing Shop N Save store at 2103 Noblestown Road in the Greentree neighborhood of Pittsburgh, currently closed while undergoing an extensive remodel. We look forward to celebrating the store’s re-opening as a Giant Eagle and serving our new neighbors once an agreement is finalized and the remodel project is completed.”

The store was a Shop ‘n Save location for years before it closed to undergo renovations.

Giant Eagle has a location near Noblestown Road, at the location of the old Parkway Center Mall.

There is also a location at the bottom of Green Tree Road on Cochran Road near Scott Township.
