Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman has a history of speeding tickets and unsafe driving.
Fetterman’s crash last Sunday, in which he was speeding and found “at fault,” was not the first time the senator has been involved in risky driving behavior.
State records show Fetterman received two speeding tickets in Pennsylvania: one in March for exceeding the speed limit by 34 miles per hour and one in April of 2016 for going at least 24 mph over the speed limit.
The Washington Post reports the Senator was required to take a “driver’s improvement course" after the March incident.
Additionally, the senator’s aides have said Fetterman has texted and FaceTimed while driving, “prompting concerns among his staff and fears about riding with him.
The senator’s spokesman told The Post the accounts of his driving were “gossip and inaccurate.”
Messages to the Senator's office for comment have not been returned.
