Starbucks union organizers across the country are out striking today for better working conditions and better pay. Today is Starbucks 'Red Cup day,' where they hand out a seasonal themed red cup that customers can reuse for seasonal drinks. Today while filling in for Rick Dayton, Robert Mangino had Mary from the Starbucks on Liberty and Baum.
Mary talked about why her Starbucks was striking and why today was such an important day for Starbucks. She also shared that although she is looking for another job she still believes striking is important.
"Even though people don't consider it a career it's still the way they make their living," said Mary.
