PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) Three people have opened up lawsuits against Pittsburgh Police for their actions during the May 2020 George Floyd protests downtown.
Alex Horell, Gordon Brown, and Hatem Hassan are stating that police used excessive force and committed civil rights violations during the protests.
According to their claim, police failed to distinguish between peaceful protesters and those causing real damage and inciting violence.
All three also claim to have been injured by police when they used bean bags, rubber bullets, and tear gas on the crowds.
On May 30, 2020 more than 45 people were arrested by Pittsburgh Police along with many injuries and rioting.
