A Fun Healthy Way to Spend Five Minutes. (Probably more fun and healthy than scrolling more)

Five minutes of smooth, controlled movement a day doesn’t seem like much to many people. Many of those people also DON’T take five minutes to throw on one of their favorite songs (Woodshed by Woodshed in this case) and explore some different positions to find stuff that feels good, which is really what #MobilityMonday is all about:

Here are some ideas for you to play around with. All these moves can be done as shown, used individually, or mixed in with other stuff. Feel free to improvise and make it your own. Just move more!

(My video is more than 5 minutes because the moves and music combined to make those extra two feel like they were well-spent)

Taking care of your body isn't all pristinely-executed squats, deadlifts, lunges, push ups, pull ups, and rows. This stuff is also important and in my opinion, underrated. It’s a great entry point for someone just looking to take better care of themselves without worrying about losing weight or getting jacked right now. If you are trying to get jacked or lose weight, those staple exercises are gonna feel better if you also add some of this sort of stuff into your routine.

Aside from the various physical improvements, be on the lookout for the mental boost you get from knowing you did something for your health that day. A lot of times it snowballs into healthier nutrition choices or additional exercise. (Which is why I often suggest this as an awesome morning ritual!)
