
After a couple of days on the lam, Nigel -- the Granbury kangaroo -- has now returned home safely.
Tuesday, the three-year-old marsupial escaped his enclosure at Briana Lafleur's acreage on Mitchell Bend Court, south of Pecan Plantation in southern Hood County.
Lafleur put out the SOS and had help from volunteers all over Hood County. She even had assistance from drone owners who scoured the densely wooded hills near Lafleur's property.
But then, Thursday, Nigel simply came back home on his own -- maybe a little scraped up from his time in the woods, but otherwise looking just fine.
One of the first things Lafleur did was give her "baby" a bottle of milk and some wheat toast -- Nigel's favorite
