Jay Sorgi comes to KYW Newsradio's digital news team, and to his new home of Philadelphia, after 22 years as a digital and on-air news/sports editor, anchor and reporter with heritage radio station WTMJ in his hometown of Milwaukee. Those decades deeply taught him what it means to serve a community on a station as trusted and valued as KYW Newsradio.

Sorgi led WTMJ's online news content, which won three awards for Social and Digital Operation of the Year for News and Talk Radio. He has won National and Regional Murrow Awards for digital and breaking news coverage serving both WTMJ Radio and WTMJ-TV, along with a Regional Murrow for excellence in video among radio stations.

For 18 years, Jay also had an on-air studio and feature storytelling role with the Green Bay Packers Radio Network and led WTMJ Radio, WTMJ-TV and WGBA-TV's digital Packers coverage. He was the Wisconsin Badgers football network pregame show host and reporter in 2009-10. He still says the scene of sunset during the fourth quarter of a Rose Bowl game is perhaps unbeatable in sports.

The Marquette University graduate is proud to bring his wife and sports-loving son to the Delaware Valley. It will be hard to ever get Jay to stop rooting for his Packers, Brewers and Bucks, but he's gladly adding the Eagles, Phillies, Sixers & Flyers to his fandom and is pumped to check out college basketball at the Palestra. And if you use real Wisconsin cheese on cheesesteaks, it's glorious.

An author with a book on the way, Jay also loves spending time with family at their new home in Delco, community service, travel, jam sessions, discovering local music (he's already found many great local Philly bands), cooking and discovering great restaurants, and the YouTube channel his son begged him to do for years.
