JoJo Siwa kicked off her first appearance on Season 30 of “Dancing with the Stars” alongside her partner and professional dancer Jenna Johnson, 27.
On Monday, the YouTube star, 18, showed off her dance moves, earning her team a 29 out of 40 for their very first score, according to People. The two serves as the very first same-sex dance group in the show's history.

"This is a whole new ball game for me. I've never done anything ballroom before," Siwa told the cameras in a prerecorded intro for the exciting first night. "It's a learning experience that I'm more than ready for."
Although Johnson took a small misstep during the performance, the pair earned the highest score of the night.
The show shared photos of Siwa and Johnson from the performance on its official Instagram account.
“Dancing With The Stars” first revealed their latest dancing lineup at the end of August.
Siwa, who revealed she is a member of the LGBTQ+ community earlier this year, is making history for being part of the show’s first same-sex partnership.
"To be dancing with a girl, I think it's so cool," Siwa said in an Instagram video. "I can't wait to meet my partner!"
Siwa is also joined by U.S. gymnast Suni Lee, who is coming off a stellar performance at the Tokyo Olympics. The 18-year-old St. Paul native took home a gold medal in the women’s gymnastics all-around event, a silver medal in the women’s team competition, and a bronze medal for her performance on the uneven bars.
The upcoming season will also see the return of veteran judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, Len Goodman, and Derek Hough.
Supermodel Tyra Banks, who took over hosting duties last season from Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews, is also back to lead the series.
Season 30 of “Dancing with the Stars” premiered on Monday, Sept. 20 at 8pm ET/PT.
