With the NFL season entering Week 14, don't take any chances and risk losing your playoff matchup.
Who to start, and who to sit this week in fantasy football:
Start 'Em
QB: Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
Opponent: vs. Falcons
Justin Herbert struggled mightily in Week 13 against a strong Patriots defense, leading to his lowest fantasy-output of the season. Luckily, he faces the Falcons in your first playoff matchup, the defense currently allowing the MOST points to opposing quarterbacks.
RB: DeAndre Swift, Detroit Lions
Opponent: vs. Packers
If he plays, DeAndre Swift needs to be in your lineup. The promising rookie from Georgia has missed three straight games due to a concussion but was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. The Packers have been unable to stop the run all season and have the worst rush defense in the league, allowing the most points to opposing RB's of any team.
WR: Jamison Crowder, New York Jets
Opponent: @ Seahawks
The Jets may be winless, but Jamison Crowder (15 FPTS per game) is a solid flex-play against the worst pass defense in the NFL. The Seahawks secondary has been a joke all season and should struggle to contain even the New York Jets.
TE: Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens
Opponent: @ Browns
Mark Andrews is in for at least one crazy game each season, and this is going to be the one. After missing the last two games, Andrews should be fully healthy for a must-win Monday night matchup with Cleveland, currently allowing the second-most points to opposing tight ends. Andrews reached the 30-point mark this week.
Sit 'Em
QB: Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
Opponent: vs. Steelers
Josh Allen may be QB3 on the season and coming off a fantastic outing against the 49ers, but he now has to go up against the best defense in the National Football League: the Pittsburgh Steelers. Find another option.
RB: Miles Sanders, Philadelphia Eagles
Opponent: vs. Saints
Don't even think about it. Miles Sanders has been a fantasy bust this season. After going in the first round of most drafts, Sanders currently sits at RB29 on the season. While he has missed four games due to injury, he has only reached double figures in points in 5 of the 9 games he's suited up in. Even against the worst rush defense in football in Week 13 vs. the aforementioned Packers, Sanders had ten carries for 31 yards. The Eagles now face the Saints and their TOP-rated rush defense. It's not worth it.
WR: DeVante Parker, Miami Dolphins
Opponent: vs. Chiefs
DeVante Parker has had a fine season, but not what you expected when he was drafted in the top five rounds back in September. He faces a Chiefs secondary that has neutralized opposing receivers thus far, and it's not worth the risk of starting him this week.
TE: Logan Thomas, Washington Football Team
Opponent: @ 49ers
Logan Thomas had his best game as a pro on Monday night against the Steelers, unfortunately, he may have his worst on Sunday against San Francisco, allowing the fewest points to rival tight ends. Find another option.
